The Perfect Spring Soiree

Well, the 2014 wedding season has officially started and it’s come in with a bang with back-to-back gorgeous weddings! Be sure to follow us on Facebook to keep an eye out for all the gorgeous details! Last Saturday we had the honor of hosting the sweetest couple’s special day! With beautiful weather, beautiful people (inside & out), most of Cornell’s football team, and a group ready to have a good time, Hilary & Ryan started the next chapter of their life together in the best of ways! Hilary looked jaw-droppingly gorgeous, her dress left me speechless and I was so in love with the earrings she chose which really topped off her perfectly timeless look! Ryan & Hilary are so clearly in love and surrounded by such loving families as you can see from these pictures that we snapped throughout the day! We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness and are so honored to have been a part of your special day! Now take a few moments to enjoy how gorgeous everything and everyone was… I absolutely love these shots of Hilary getting dressed with her best girls in The Playhouse! We told you her dress was gorgeous! Loving these romantic pictures with all of our gardens budding and blooming on a perfectly sunny spring day! What perfectly captured moments with the groom and his mom & the bride and her dad! Finding “Social Balance” on Your Big Day

Finding “Social Balance” on Your Big Day

The Dilemma So you’re planning your wedding… you found the ideal venue, picked the perfect flowers, hired amazing vendors and toiled over each and every detail to make your day just right!  You hired an incredibly talented photographer to capture the important moments that you will revisit for the rest of your lives: your parents seeing you for the first time, the impromptu hug with your best friend, the look on your groom’s face as he sees you for the first time, the love in your eyes as you adore each other as you exchange vows, your first kiss, first dance, your loved ones expressions in the background as they see you share in the happiest moments of your life…  It’s all so romantic. Instead, when many couples are getting their wedding pictures back, they are faced with pictures of their guests’ smiles blocked by their phones and camera, doing their best to capture the moment rather than enjoying the moment with them. You have to ask yourself, while your guests are there with you, when they are snapping pictures are they really present and listening to you exchange vows and the first special moments of your marriage? Isn’t that what you hired a photographer for?   Jeff Seltzer Photograph Nora & Troy Corey Ann Photography To add to it, not only can you not see your guests’ faces or expressions (you don’t want photos that look like an iPhone advertisement) but the more your guests feel driven to take their pictures, they will at all costs! Guests are known to get up and stand in front of your very talented,...
What Makes Crossed Keys So Special

What Makes Crossed Keys So Special

Planning for a wedding is no easy task. For many brides-to-be, they have been imagining this day their entire life; however, all the imagining in the world can’t prepare you for how overwhelming it can be to make that first big decision… Where will all the magic happen? Will it be in a ballroom, hotel, converted factory, barn or tent? It is becoming increasingly popular to veer away from the norm and to make unconventional, personal spaces the venue for your big day. We’re of course a bit biased… We just LOVE an outdoor tented wedding!  But what makes them so special??? An Incomparable View What could be better than pledging a lifetime of love in lush meadows with the backdrop of romantic wildflower gardens? The surrounding nature and landscape can make the day even more magical and memorable, transporting your guests to a different time and place. Kate Leigh Photography   Dave Noonan of C10 Studios   A Picture Perfect Backdrop While you could spend months or even years planning the details of your day, the photos of your day are one of the few things you will have to hold on to for the rest of your life. Couples who get married in picturesque outdoor settings have one less thing to worry about right off the bat! Not only will your pictures be incredible, but each part of your event will be memorable to both you and your guests, marked with the unique natural beauty that surrounds. This can also have the added perk of saving you money on floral decor! 509 Photography   Brae Howard Photography...
