August 18, 2012: Floral Post! {Orange Spice & Everything Nice}

Every year Pantone declares it’s color of the year, and this year it was Tangerine Tango. The fun and funky, vivacious color is a gorgeous one for the summer months and we were thrilled to incorporate it into an August wedding. By adding touches of blue and white, we highlighted shades of this orange in bouquets and centerpieces in the form of stunning dahlias. Spray roses, hypericum berries, and wax flower provided a lighter touch of the orange to accent the deep rusty and tangerine...

July 28, 2012: Sylvia & Anton

I think this story can tell itself…even in the rain, this wedding was magical, gorgeous, and a celebration like you’ve never seen. Our dance floor will never be the same Congratulations to Anton & Sylvia!   (  Sylvia & Anton at Crossed Keys Inn from Crossed Keys Inn on Vimeo.  )...

July 15, 2012: Jaime & Dan

Stormy weather could not stop this beautiful day from happening! While the skys were swirling, we prepared to have Jaime and Dan’s July 15th ceremony underneath the big white tent. But right before 3:30 hit, the sky opened up and the sun was beaming down just in the knick of time! A stunning dress, a soon-to-be-hubby in dress blues, and the sun shining — what more could you need?! How about a touching father-daughter dance, a fun photo booth, and a serenade of “The Way I Am” by the bridal party, father, and uncle of the bride. This wedding was our pleasure to host and we are so glad that bride and groom got such a wonderful day after only 6 weeks of planning! Congratulations Jaime and Dan! We wish you all the best for the future!   All photography from Jaime & Dan’s wedding is courtesy of Leandro Da Silva Video/Photography by Crossed Keys Inn   (  Jaime & Dan’s Wedding at Crossed Keys Inn from Crossed Keys Inn on Vimeo....

July 7, 2012: Caitlin & Simon

I have been trying to think of exactly the right words to describe my feelings about this wedding and this is what I came up with:  ……………………………………. um, nothing because I AM SPEECHLESS. I could tell you how much the yellow and cream combination lit up this tent and even had the waitstaff saying how “happy” the tent looked. I could tell you how stunning the white bridesmaids dresses were and how adorable the silver mercury glass mushrooms looked on a runner of burlap and moss. I could tell you how beautiful the bride was or how much everyone enjoyed the custom photo booth. Instead, I will let you feast your eyes on these amazing pictures shot by Brae Howard Photography....

June 23, 2012: Caitlin & Stefano

Everything was just peachy at the June 23rd wedding of Caitlin and Stefano at Crossed Keys Inn. I’ve posted a few of my favorite shots (ok, more than a few) and a quick little video I threw together. Between the amazing pictures of this loving couple and the great vintage details coordinated by Caitlin and Event Designs by Katherine, everything came together beautifully in matching with the laid back spirit and elegant, vintage style of Crossed Keys. My favorite detail: hard to choose just one! The burlap and wood signs Caitlin brought in, the hand-done custom menu, and perfectly vintage mason jar centerpieces with book pages underneath — seriously, how could I pick one favorite?! Enjoy the warmth and happiness in these pictures that we were all so fortunate to experience on that special day.       (  Caitlin & Stefano at Crossed Keys Inn from Crossed Keys Inn on Vimeo....

Leah & Josh Continued: I Do Details

Ok folks, this is a long one. So many details, I just had to share them all! I hope you guys enjoy every single one. This wedding was such a joy to work on and the couple could not have been sweeter. This dress makes me melt. Really, I’m mush right now. This is what lace does to me.   Love this menu! Handwritten and totally vintage!   Stunning flowers in birch wood boxes with hand stamped & embossed table numbers in rustic wood frames. A perfect touch for a country wedding.     This “I Spy” board was my favorite! Combined with the Borrow-A-Camera Table, hundreds of pictures hanging from miniature clothespins tell us that this was a hit! We had to keep adding lines of twine for all the things people were spying! Time for s’mores!       I spy a picture of the bride and her planners….         A great polaroid of the groom having a blast!   Peonies and alchemilla greens accented this cake perfectly. And our new cake base is proof that good can come from bad — it was made from the large branch that used to hold our tree swing and had fallen just a week earlier.   The end. And the beginning. Congratulations Josh &...
