When a Wedding Planner Gets Married

When a Wedding Planner Gets Married

Just one month away from my own wedding, I have been doing a lot of thinking about the weddings we create here at Crossed Keys Estate. Each one special in it’s own way; with a couple so uniquely in love; with families & friends so distinctly different; with moments that bring tears of joy; with memories that we & the guests remember for years.

I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t cry a little at every single wedding. Maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for romance. Maybe it’s because I watch our clients work so hard on making the day a beautiful & memorable one. Or maybe it’s because I see myself and our staff work so hard during the week because we genuinely care about each event and each client. All of these things make creating a wedding that much more special to us.

I have hugged crying brides who forgot a detail or ripped their dress; I have run around in the rain to make sure a single bridal party member doesn’t have to get a drip of water on them; I’ve dug through garbages & couch cushions for a lost trinket or piece of jewelry misplaced, carried bouquets all day, and stayed up late nights making last minute decor items — and I loved every second of it. Nothing makes me happier than helping couples have the perfect day.

So it comes as no surprise that I am a giant ball of emotions as I approach my own wedding day. Not just because I love my hunny 🙂  but because weddings are my life. I learn something from every client and I am so grateful that we have had so many wonderful, kind, patient, and gracious couples to work with. On my wedding day, I will have a piece of each wedding that came before me incorporated into the day. Some of my favorite details from past weddings will be around, memories of brides & grooms before us will flood my mind, and all the feelings I feel at each Crossed Keys wedding will be present 10x over.

I am so grateful for the emails and texts from clients wishing me and my fiance luck, love, and the best wedding ever. It means so much to me to have that personal relationship with you guys and I hope you know that I treat every one of your weddings as well (if not better!) than I have been treating my own. Each one means the world to me and my family and I hope that is reflected on your special day. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your continued support of us and our beloved family business. Thank you will never be enough.

With lots of love,

Jessica
